| BACKWATER SNOOK |
| Some of Florida's finest saltwater fishing occurs in the Southwest area. This area of Naples has some of the best backwater and flats fishing in the state. Naples extensive network of Bays, Estuaries, Mangrove Islands along with Oyster bars and sea-grass flats attract an abundance of saltwater fish. Roaming these waters are Florida's most sought after game fish, the Redfish, Snook, Sea Trout and the Tarpon. In addition to fishing in the Naples area, Florida's wildlife provides extraordinary experiences. Birds of prey, such as the Bald Eagle and Ospreys as well as wading birds commonly observed includes Egrets, Snowy Egrets, Roseate spoonbills, Great Blue heron, White and Snowy Ibis. Dolphins are seen on almost every trip and Sea Turtles and Manatees are usually seen too. We use 8-12 pound test when fishing in the backwaters and inshore in the passes and rivers. Fly and plug casting fisherman will enjoy fishing in the 10,000 Island areas where they will be able to sight cast to many tailing fish. Spinning tackle outfits allow a great deal of flexibility in these waters. You do not have to be an expert caster to catch quality fish on light tackle outfits. |
